Wood barbecue
Innovative concept
Woodflame barbecues do not use propane gas or charcoal... so there is no hazardous manipulation of propane bottles or endless waiting for the ideal temperature to be reached. A cube of wood and a fire starter are all you need: your barbecue is ready for cooking in under 2 minutes!
This fast heat-up is achieved thanks to the patented blower system that concentrates all the heat on the grill, leaving the base of the barbecue at room temperature. After cooking, the same system cools the appliance down fast.
Outstanding features:
- Rapid production of heat exceeding 60,000 BTU, the heat of a propane gas barbecue
- Grease collector trays to prevent flare-ups and heat shields under the grates for perfectly controlled cooking
- Reliability and superior durability thanks to superior quality materials and design
- Self-cleaning system for easy maintenance - the powerful burner ensures virtually total combustion of the wood, leaving just fine ash.
Unique functioning
Because they burn wood so efficiently, Woodflame barbecues do not release any harmful smoke and preserve the full flavour of your food. And the even distribution of high heat across the grill means you can make full use of the whole cooking area.
Combustion chamber
The energy-efficient Woodflame combustion system consumes 99% of the wood in the combustion chamber, which is insulated with a heat shield. The heat is then pushed towards the grates, with no heat loss.
Patented blower system
An ingenious blower system under the burner constantly fans the flames. The air directly propelled into the burner activates combustion of the wood block and produces an optimal cooking temperature of 537°C (1000°F) in just 2 minutes!
To start the barbecue, you simply set light to the wood block using a Woodflame fire starter. Once the blower is running, the wood catches alight in a few seconds.
Please note:
- A 5-cm2 (2-sq. in.) cube of wood is sufficient to cook four steaks or eight hamburgers.
- Four alkaline "D" batteries power the blower, providing plenty of power for a whole summer of barbecuing (over 36 hours' use).
- To cool down your barbecue rapidly, leave the blower running for a few minutes after you finish cooking.
Controlling the cooking
An electronic control with nine settings gives you fingertip control of the air supply and flames.
